Established in 1969, Real Food Company has long been a destination for San Francisco residents who are looking for natural, wholesome foods. Over the years, they have expanded to two locations, one on Polk St. and one on Fillmore St. They are showcasing a variety of cooking classes available through September for just $ 45 per class.
“We have different cooking lessons for your different interests,” said Stephanie Trinidad of Real Food Company. “Learn how to prepare variations on traditional Italian cuisine with our guest chefs.”
Participants can learn how to make a gluten-free Italian dinner with Amy Fothergill of The Family Chef on August 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The menu includes polenta fries with roasted red pepper sauce, Caesar Salad with croutons, spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce and mama’s meatballs. Amy will also introduce her 1,2,3 Cooking philosophy, making delicious recipes in three basic steps on September 13, also from 6 to 8 p.m. Amy will teach you technical skills in the kitchen that will enable you to feed your family without taking all of your time. Those interested can also learn the secrets of raw food Italian cooking with Christine Eubanks of Love & Tomatoes on Thursday, September 15. Mediterranean cuisine is known for its healthful benefits and as a nutritionist who also grew up in an Italian kitchen, Christine Eubanks will divulge her secrets to a long, healthy life while teaching participants how to make this cuisine’s best pizzas, pastas and more. All cooking classes will be held at their Fillmore St. location.
